The Bechdel test originated in Alison Bechdel's comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For and is as follows.....
To make a movie worth watching :
1. It has to have at least two women in it
2. They talk to each other...
3. About something other than a man.
Oh well, so much for Gangs of New York... looks like we're gonna have to get Tina Fey to write some new movies. This blog does a great job putting movies to the Bechdel test and giving them a pass, fail, yellow light, and occasional honorable mention.
