Clara Rockmore

Clara Rockmore, born in 1911 in Lithuania, was a violin prodigy and the youngest person ever accepted to the Imperial Conservatory of Saint Petersburg( at age 5). However, when a bone problem due to childhood malnutrition forced her to quit the violin she began working with Leon Theremin and became the greatest Theremin virtuoso ever. She used her classical training and the perfect pitch she had been born with to help him perfect the instrument.
